Project Description

Econicboards were specified to sheath the steel structure and provide an airtight, low carbon  weather and fire resistance barrier behind the brick and cladding facade.

The Project is a new build primary school constructed on the site of the existing Halfway Park.  The school is a brand new school and as such the opening date is critical to achieve the start of the new academic year August 2013.
The new school contains 7 classrooms, main hall, dining room, kitchen and associated plant room and stores.  The external energy centre will incorporate the biomass plant room and associated fuel store, the sprinkler tank and pump house as well as the school bin stores.
The school is constructed from a steel frame with an external brickwork and cladding façade.  The external hard and soft landscaping will provide external teaching space as well as sufficient play areas for the pupil numbers anticipated in the future. The MUGA pitch located on the site boundary will allow community access to the facility out of hours.
The new school will accommodate;
•    7 General Classrooms
•    Combined dining area
•    Kitchen - Servery
•    ICT facility
•    Library
•    Community Wing
•    MUGA
•    Floor Area 2123m/2
