Description Econic Backer Boards were used to line the plant room in the Visitors Centre and the exterior back up battery generator building.  Econic Backer Boards were specified due to their fire resistance,  durability in all weather conditions, robustness and superior pull out strength for fixings. The BRE Innovation Park @Ravenscraig is the world's first purpose-built Innovation Park. The construction of the Park on the site of the former steelworks in North Lanarkshire, has created a vision of sustainable development in which the landscape and infrastructure compliments and supports the performance of low carbon demonstration buildings.
